A Little About Us

Scott Harvin

Why did I decide to become an attorney?

The notion of public service was instilled in me at an early age, along with the need to the treat each and every individual with respect and fairness.

What is it like working with me?

I'm meticulously detail-oriented. I am someone who refuses to let anything slip through the cracks, and will often dive into all aspects of your situation to ensure I'm the most prepared person in the courtroom. As a litigator, you'll find that I'm cool under pressure and incredibly persuasive.

I focus on:

  • Criminal defense
  • DUI and drug offenses
  • Personal injury

Bar admissions:

  • South Carolina (1991)
  • U.S. District Court District of South Carolina (1991)
  • U.S. Court of Appeals 4th Circuit
  • U.S. Court of Appeals Federal Circuit

Education:

  • University of South Carolina School of Law, South Carolina (J.D.)
  • Duke University, North Carolina (B.A.)

Outside of work I enjoy:

Anything having to do with Duke sports. I'm also an avid trivia hound--I love to write questions and host events. Most of all, I am a single father who enjoys making the most of my time with my kids.

BO Hetrick

Why did I decide to become an attorney?

Honestly, I'm someone who likes to challenge the status quo--especially established norms. I found that being in the law enabled me to push boundaries, ask tough questions and help people fight the system.

What is it like working with me?

Working with me should be easy. I want you to feel at ease, I want you to call me by my first name, and I want you to know you can reach out to me with any questions or concerns. So if you feel like you've gotten lost in the system or that others with power are keeping you from getting what you need, I'm your guy.

I focus on:

  • Criminal defense
  • Personal injury
  • Social Security Disability
  • Workers' compensation

Bar admissions:

  • South Carolina (1977)

Education:

  • University of South Carolina School of Law, South Carolina (J.D.)
  • University of South Carolina, South Carolina (B.A. and M.A.)

Outside of work I enjoy:

Skiing, boating, skeet shooting and bird hunting (some of these things I'm better at than others). I'm also a happy family man--I thrive on the peace and joy given to me by my wife, two daughters and two grandchildren.

Bobby Bonds

Why did I decide to become an attorney?

I wanted to become an attorney to protect the rights of those individuals who are most vulnerable and unable to protect themselves. There's nothing worse to me than seeing people being taken advantage of.

What is it like working with me?

People say I'm a stickler for understanding where clients are coming from. I work to quickly and clearly identify issues, needs and concerns. You'll find I'm a listener first, talker second. And you can rest assured that I will ensure you understand me and my recommendations so you always feel comfortable making informed decisions--even under the most difficult situations.

I focus on:

  • Accident and injury
  • Insurance compensation
  • Criminal defense

Bar admissions:

  • South Carolina (1990)

Education:

  • Campbell University Norman Adrian Wiggens School of Law, North Carolina (J.D.)
  • University of North Carolina Chapel Hill, North Carolina (B.A.)

Outside of work I enjoy:

Boating and hanging at the beach with my wife and three children. I'm also actively involved in the community; I sit on the Walterboro City Council.
